Drew & Colleen contacted me last May to discuss the opportunity of us working together for their wedding in August. Even though Bryan and I had already decided that we were not going to book anymore weddings for the year, I knew that there was something different about these two. First of all, their wedding sounded like an absolute dream - an intimate, outdoor ceremony on the banks of the Sugar River followed by a relaxed, family-style dinner with 200 of their closest friends and family. Second, I'd been wanting to work at the Paoli Mill Terrace & Park for a while! After shooting an engagement session there a few years ago, I've been quite obsessed with this quaint, little place. And how could you not be? The Paoli Mill is a beautiful, old stone mill built in 1894 nestled next to the peaceful Sugar River. It's the perfect backdrop for a causal, outdoor wedding. Lastly, I just loved Drew & Colleen's vibe! They are two of the most chill, relaxed, and easy-going people I have ever met, and I knew working with them would be a real treat!
Do you remember these two barefoot babes from their casual, at-home engagement session from earlier this year? Well it should be not surprise that their wedding was no different...relaxed, casual, and natural. Just two people head-over-heels in love...no frills, just Drew & Colleen and all their wedded bliss. With seasonal fresh flowers handpicked from the local Farmers' Market and handmade signs written by Colleen's talented sisters, their details were minimal, but meaningful. Drew & Colleen shared a private First Look on the banks of the Sugar River, and their ceremony soon followed, witnessed only by 20 of their nearest and dearest. It was truly an intimate affair. After their ceremony, they greeted 200 more friends and family for a casual, family-style dinner and then danced the night away. Their day was the perfect reflection of their personalities and relationship, and we are so glad that we were there to capture it all!
Meet the new Mr. & Mrs. Davey!
