When a wedding inquiry starts out like this, "Our day is going to be rustic, romantic, Wisconsiny, and woodsy", you know that it's going to be a great one! These four things are my jam, and I knew that we were going to be a perfect fit. Justin & Tiffany are the kind of people who are just easy to be around...they are sweet, intentional, thoughtful, and frankly just awesome. I quickly found this out during their engagement session, and I knew that their day would be no different. When we first arrived at the Aldo Leopold Nature Center in Black Earth, I felt like I was in some sort of woodland fairy tale. Every single detail had been carefully constructed...their vision of woodsy and romantic had been so successfully brought to life by their friends and family, I was simply in awe of everything. The chalkboard signs added the rustic touch that they were seeking. The gold accents, including the brass candleholders and table numbers from A La Crate Vintage Rentals, completed the elegant feel of the décor. And that dessert stand...how amazing is that?! I then met Tiffany at the historic Walking Iron Bed & Breakfast in Mazomanie, and let me tell you, if you are planning an intimate and romantic Wisconsin getaway, look no further! As Tiffany slipped on her classic vintage Maggie Sottero gown, I was momentarily carried away to another era. Tiffany's gown fit her personality to a tee, the perfect combination of class and grace. Simply put, Tiffany was a vision in white.
After making our way back to the Aldo Leopold Nature Center, Justin & Tiffany shared a private First Look and then seamlessly flowed into their bride and groom portraits. It was the perfect overcast day, which allowed us to photograph anywhere our little hearts desired. Tiffany's bouquet, adorned with delicate ribbon, embodied the color palette of their day, rich in tones of burgundy, merlot, and dusty blush. I have to applaud Sunborn Gardens for providing the most beautiful florals I have ever laid my eyes upon...those dahlias, seriously?! Their ceremony, surrounded by their closest friends and family, was intimate and heartfelt, complete with handwritten vows and officiated by their close friend, Norm. The rest of the evening was filled with a fantastic dinner provided by Banzo, merriment, dancing, and ended with a campfire...it truly was the perfect day and a true celebration of Justin & Tiffany's love and partnership.
